What is the point of reading hands when you’re already a serious, qualified coach and health practitioner with a whole lot of trainings to your name? She didn’t say that to discourage me, but her skepticism was apparent and my mum wasn’t the only person to think that, I know. I can understand the question – hand reading or ‘chirology’ seems an obscure, rather esoteric thing to do.
Yet to me it totally makes sense. As a stand alone vocation, or passion it’s fully sufficient. Everything about understanding someone – and yourself – through the hands is fascinating – the fact that our hands show so much about us, the deep connection between my client and myself during a session, their feeling of empowerment that comes from truly understanding who they are, all this never ceases to intrigue me.
I recall the very first time I had my hands read. I was convinced that I was only going because a friend had persuaded me. Now, I wonder whether there even is such a thing as a coincidence? Because, when he spoke about a change in my career and asked me what I want to do instead, the word ‘this’ came out of my mouth – reading hands. I had been perfectly happy with the work I was doing and yet, just like that, with one experience and ‘this’ one word, my life changed. Immediately I started studying with serious enthusiasm, immediately I felt a deep connection, as though I had done this before. And although initially I was a little embarrassed to admit that ‘I read hands’, I knew it fitted in perfectly with everything else I do.
Having started my journey of self-discovery with Reiki in the 90s, energy sensations through hands were nothing new. Now, they had an extra dimension – during the hand analysis this energy flows freely and connects us both; it communicates and energises. Some clients, however, need more support in order to transform their new understanding of self into empowered, focused changes in their lives.
Having qualified as a life coach with a college diploma in 2005, other trainings practiced for many years – include those of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or Tapping), NLP Master Practitioner and Reiki Master. They all combine smoothly with hand analysis – enabling me to connect more deeply with my clients. The training that has most changed my personal and professional life though, is that of PALMTHERAPY®, via a Swiss Academy. It is so versatile, effective and simple that it has fast become my favourite tool. Whether you suffer from a phobia, anxiety or stress, with this method we work hand in hand (pardon the pun) to help restore your confidence, energy levels and achieve goals.
After a hand analysis we both not only understand what innate qualities and challenges you’ve brought to this life and how you can communicate best, but I/we can also see the level of trauma, stress and possible health issues. From that we know exactly how to gently, safely and purposefully start transforming your life and the effective simplicity of PALMTHERAPY® makes it achievable.
And, knowing your own hands makes you feel deeply understood – also by your Self. Suddenly so many things become clear and self-compassion and motivation follow naturally.
That’s why I love the combination of modalities I offer.
